New KAM depot opens in Beeston

KAM Servicing is to add to its ever expanding business by opening a new depot in the heart of Beeston. After months of preparation and long hours spent cleaning up and installing new equipment, the latest addition to the KAM team is nearly ready. The Beeston depot will open from Tuesday May 8th.
Over the last few weeks the team has been hard at work polishing and painting to get the new site ready for all the gremlin hunting missions to come. Like KAM’s other garages the Beeston depot will be available to take care on all your motoring needs and will be introducing some new mechanical wizards to the team The staff at the new depot is hoping that customers will recognise KAM’s fantastic reputation within the motoring industry and urge the residents of Beeston and the surrounding areas to come and test them out.
The popular manager and newsletter favourite Dr Kev said he was happy to hear the buzz surrounding the opening. He said: “We have been successful in the motoring arena and the whole team is looking forward to meeting new customers and taking on new motoring challenges. We all know the bad reputation some garages have given us mechanics but here at KAM we want to dispel those myths and are happy to bring you a high standard of service at the lowest prices.”
There will be some familiar faces, as Super Sunny and Fearless Frank will be leaving the successful Belper depot to take the reigns of the Beeston branch. There will be 6 new, fully trained members of staff joining the team and so this means no long waiting periods and each customer getting that personal touch sometimes lost at the bigger corporations.
Sunny and Frank are looking forward to the adventures that will surely follow the grand opening and Frank says all new customers will be more than satisfied with the Beeston team’s work. He continued: “We are very happy to be opening in Beeston and welcoming all of our new customers. Our talented technicians are ready and waiting to take on all makes and models and will not rest till the fault is found.”
Here at KAM we provide ourselves on being up to date on all the latest advancements in vehicle repair technology. We are very happy to say that our Beeston depot is stocked with state of the art diagnostic machines and all the tools needed to take on even the biggest diagnostic mystery. We are also offering a great price on MOTs, at £29.99 and we have new automated test lanes to take on all sizes of cars. We are also able to offer original equipment, for all cars, at a fraction of the price of other garages thanks to our long standing relationship with our fantastic suppliers. Even cars covered by a manufacturer’s warranty can be serviced in our workshops without the warranty being affected.     Here at KAM our customers are our main priority and so we have invested in new courtesy cars for our customers to take home. You will no longer need to be stranded or your day disrupted by the loss of a car. Here at KAM Beeston we have all the corners covered and you can drive away in one of our new Hyundais for the duration of the repairs.
Super Sunny said he was very excited for the opening: “I would encourage people to come down to the depot if they are experiencing any car problems. We can’t wait to get more cars back on the fast track.”
The Beeston branch is located on 122 Queens Road East, Beeston Nottingham. The depot will be open every day except Sundays.

KAM Updates- Beeston depot to open

Hello faithful readers i would just like to give you an update on all the latest developments at KAM. As you may or may not know, the KAM team are expanding once again and will be adding Beeston to the list of areas occupied by KAM Servicing. We have been lucky enough to acquire some prime land in the heart of Beeston and cannot wait to welcome new customers and new cars through the doors. Our new address is 122 Queens Road,East Beeston and the garage will be run by our very talented technician Superman Sunny. For now there is no official opening date but the boys are working hard to get the walls painted and the latest in diagnostic equipment installed.
I myself was down at Beeston just this past bank holiday Monday with my family. My wife Mandy and children Josh and Natasha were on hand to help with painting of the front office and I must say they were quite the decorators. The office is coming along and the place feels invigorated with a new lick of paint. It is now time to install our state of the art equipment and yours truly is over seeing all the work (as well as doing the heavy lifting).
Elsewhere the other depots are doing well in the face of the current economic climate. Our loyal customers continue to bring in their gremlin ridden cars and our dedicated mechanics relish the opportunity to take on a new mystery. So if you have any problems with your car make sure to call in at your nearest depot or go to www.kamservicng.com for all the details of our many depots.
Till next time faithful readers

Mr T's Mondeo Madness

Hello faithful readers and welcome to another week of adventures from the KAM team. We have been very busy this week as you continue to heed the call and more and more of your cars are being restored to perfect health. You can leave your comments, questions and queries at our facebook page at www.facebook.com/kamservicing and our twitter page at www.twitter.com/dr_kev.
This week Heanor was the site of our engineering heroics as we took on another car gremlin. This week the boys were hard at work and we received a visit from Mr T who arrived in his Ford Mondeo with clouds of black smoke pouring from the exhaust and the engine doing a good impression of Skippy the Bush Kangaroo and jumping around inside the engine bay. After Mr. T had parked his car and arrived through the smog cloud into reception he started with “Kev. You have to help, as you can see I’m a one man smog bank, I’ve got whiplash from the cars kangarooing and I’m at my wits end. To make it worse I tried to fix it myself, I’ve had two other garages look at it and spent a fortune on it but it’s still running the same. I read that you guy’s are the ones to beat so here it is. Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to stop the smoke coming from the exhaust and to stop the engine from trying to jump out of the bonnet every time you try and accelerate”.
So after taking all of Mr. T’s contact details and giving him the Spanish inquisition into the history of the car and its problems we sent him off to relax in one of our courtesy cars to continue with his day. Looking around the workshop to see who best to undertake the task of mending the Mondeo when our very own Tasmanian Trev strolled in having just come back from parking up his latest mechanical conundrum conquest and showed no hesitation for the task at hand when he blurted out. “I’ll take it Kev” and off he disappeared to bring the Mondeo into the workshops and hook it straight up to some of our state of the art diagnostic computers. A while passed and more testing equipment started to be attached to the car when all of a sudden the famous words rang out. “I’ve got it Kev”. It appeared that there was a large split in one of the turbo hoses and that had to be found by injecting smoke into the induction system to detect the leak, but once found it was a quick call to Mr. T and a short wait for our fantastic suppliers to arrive post haste with the required part to fix the poorly car. Trev fitted it and cleaned out the exhaust as well as possible from all of the previous soot deposited in there and then the moment of truth. The car sprang into life, and after a short period the smoke cleared and the engine was fixed and back to its best again. After a lengthy road test Trev returned and confidently said “Here you are Kev. Another one fixed and back on the fast track”.
Mr T arrived later and was elated to have his car back in such great shape. “Thanks Kev, I’m glad that I came to you to fix my car. You really do put your customer’s first.”
Remember faithful reader, our team of dedicated and hard working staff at the branches in Sutton, Long Eaton, Bulwell and Belper along with our bodywork shop are open every day of the week, EXCLUDING Sunday’s, while the lads at our Sawley and Heanor workshops are at your service seven days a week, keeping your car where it belongs. ON THE ROAD.
So until next week faithful reader, drive safely and keep it shiny side up.

Mrs D's Nissan Nuisance

Hello faithful readers and welcome to another week of adventures from the KAM team. We have been very busy this week as you continue to heed the call and more and more of your cars are being restored to perfect health. You can leave your comments, questions and queries at our facebook page at www.facebook.com/kamservicing and our twitter page at www.twitter.com/dr_kev.
This week we received a visit from Mrs D who was a new customer here at KAM and was in need of our team’s help. As she approached the Belper depot she looked visibly upset and we would have to placate her using our expert knowledge, but first a coffee was in order. After Mrs D had calmed down a little she explained her car’s recent problems and the continuing woes she had suffered. “Kev my car has not been right for a while. I went to my previous garage 4 times and spent over £800 and yet here I am, out of pocket and with a faulty car.” Mrs D explained that her car had been holding back at 2500-3000 revs and this was making for a very uncomfortable drive and a lot of inconvenience. The car in question was a Nissan Note and Mrs D was eager to have her car back as soon as possible. Mrs D was a voluntary worker and was eagerly anticipating the decision by city council to cut funds to Derbyshire voluntary groups. “Kev I can’t believe it. Our group is doing important work within the community and we may have to go under. My car being faulty is the least of my problems but I really could do without this.” Mrs D was a member of a well-known voluntary organization in Derby and was very upset to hear when their funding was cut last month. But there was a ray of hope as the city council cabinet was to meet on Tuesday night to reconsider the decision and to hopefully keep these organizations open.
“Kev look I am quite pre-occupied at the moment and we are really hoping this decision
will get overturned. But while we wait I would really appreciate it if you could fix my car with no hassle. I work a lot on the Internet and so have done my research. I have read that you are the best garage in the Midlands and a lot of my friends recommended you. So I’m here to put my faith in you and I’m hoping at least you can bring me some good news.”
We took all of Mrs D’s details and then she was whisked away in one of our new courtesy cars. As soon as she was off to save Derby’s disenfranchised, we got straight to work on her car. Benjamin Button was this week’s mystery solver and he began by plugging the car up to one of our state of the art diagnostic machines and awaited the results. A short wile later the infamous words rang out “I’ve got it Kev.” It so transpired that the lambda or oxygen sensor was working outside of its parameters and this had been the reason for the car’s sporadic revving. This had been quite a simple case for our talented Ben and it was surprising to us that other garages had failed to spot such an easily identifiable and easily fixed fault. After a quick call to our fantastic suppliers the part arrived promptly and Ben replaced and fitted the new sensor with military style precision. Then came the road test and we made sure that we took it on a long road test so that we could see all the revs and ensure that the car was fixed. Ben returned and shouted “We did it Kev. This car is back on the fast track.” All this was done at a fraction of the price that Mrs. D had paid for the last 4 visits to her previous garage.
Mrs D arrived later and was ecstatic to have her car back to its best and road worthy once again. Although the decision on the organizations is yet to be made she was very happy to have one aspect of her life not in disarray. “Wow Kev I can’t believe it, you really helped me out and it is great to see that in a time of uncertainty there are still good, honest people willing to help out.”
