Mr G's Mondeo Muddle- KAM Servicing

This week we received a visit from Mr G who arrived at our Bulwell depot in quite a state. As he pulled up to the garage and parked outside of our large workshop, the boys readied themselves for the next mystery. He was seated in his Ford Mondeo and he looked rather distressed behind the wheel. When he eventually made his way to the reception he was wary of letting us take his car.
“Kev you won’t believe what I have been through with this car and I just want someone to fix it once and for all.” Mr G was not happy and it soon became clear why. “Kev I have had the same problem in my car for many weeks now and I just can’t seem to find anyone to fix it.” Mr G explained that his Ford Mondeo had been unable to rev beyond 2000 revs and when it reached 2000 it would go flat. “Kev I took it straight to my local garage and I haven’t stop spending or should I say wasting money ever since.” Mr G had taken his car to 4 garages and the problem was still persisting. Mr G was right to be wary of garages and now KAM was his last hope. “Kev my friend recommended you and so I am here pleading with you to find and fix the fault. I hope I can trust in the KAM team.
We assured Mr G that here at KAM we aim to help all of our customers get the best car repairs at the lowest prices. Moreover we will not rest till we get to the bottom of any and all problems that may be facing your car. “You don’t need to worry Mr G we will ensure that your car is given the best care and we promise to find the problem” said Ben peering into the car with intrigue. Mr G let go of some of his reluctance and left the car in the capable hands of our mechanics. We then let him use one of our courtesy cars so that he would not be caused any inconvenience.

It was Benjamin Button’s turn to solve this week’s mystery and it was not long till he had hoisted the car up to see where the fault may lie. He noticed from the previous sales invoices that a lot of parts within the car had already been replaced. We had to look over the parts to ensure that none of them had been fitted improperly. Thankfully the parts had been fitted correctly even if they were unnecessary. Here at KAM we only use parts that are needed and we will only charge for the work that is necessary to your car.  Ben then got to work first undertaking some visual observations to see if the fault was visible.
After two hours of testing Ben removed the exhaust system and started to test it. The results were released from our state of the art machines and it was not long till the famous words were heard ringing through the workshop. “I’ve got it Kev.” It so transpired that the exhaust was blocked and had begun to disintegrate internally. This had been the reason for the revving issues and so had the KAM team finally solved this long-standing mystery.
Ben ordered the new exhaust and it arrived promptly and he began to fit it with military style precision. The middle and rear section were replaced and then a road test was the final piece of the puzzle. Ben returned from the road test a short while later and he had a smile beaming across his face. “We did it Kev. This car is back in the fast lane.”

Mr G arrived later and his sadness was replaced with a huge smile adorning his face. “Kev I am so happy you have fixed my car and that I (finally) came to KAM. At least now I know there is a garage that I can trust. Thanks to all the boys at KAM Bulwell.”
