The Good Garage Scheme is a regulatory body that ensures that workshops and MOT centres adhere to a strict code of conduct. This allows customers to effectively choose a trustworthy and reliable garage, which has been approved by other customers. All garages must agree to have their customer’s best interests at heart and must ensure that any necessary changes to facilitate this are made. There is also an industry standard checklist that each garage must adhere to.The GGS has a strict complaints procedure in place and so any garage that is found to be providing inadequate services will be ejected from the scheme.
