Car batteries last approximatley 5 years and it is much better to replace yours before it reaches this age. This will save you both time and money and you won't be stranded roadside waiting for the KAM team's recovery truck.
To save battery life turn off heater fans and rear window heaters before trying to start the engine.

But in the unfortunate event that you do breakdown KAM would like to offer our list of winter driving essentials. You do not need all of them but make sure you are prepared and that you don’t get caught out this winter!!

1. Scraper and de-icer
2. Warning triangle
3. First aid kit
4. Reflective clothing – jackets, armbands and stickers
5. Boots
6. Jump leads
7. Food and a warm flask of water

1) In the morning allow at least 10 minutes to start and de ice your car for your journey.
2) Ensure that your window is clear of ice/snow and condensation before departing on your journey.
